Our Story
The idea for Pho Nam grew from our love for the neighborhood phở shops that have long been part of everyday life in Vietnam. After bringing the lively spirit of a quán nhậu to Miami with Tâm Tâm, we wanted to celebrate another cornerstone of Vietnamese culture—one built around slow-simmered broths, strong coffee, and familiar faces. For Tâm, a Saigon native, and Harrison, who once called Vietnam home, these humble restaurants are always among the first places they visit whenever they're back in Vietnam. Pho Nam is our way of sharing that experience with Miami.
Pho Nam is a tribute to Saigon in the 1970s—an era whose architecture, café culture, and culinary traditions continue to inspire us today. Every detail, from the music and design to the food and drinks, was thoughtfully chosen to capture the character of a neighborhood phở shop from that time. Our goal isn't simply to recreate the past, but to celebrate an era that helped shape Vietnam's rich culinary identity and share that experience with Miami.
